The paints used in all of our kits are high quality U.S.-made non-toxic water-based acrylic. The paints are approved for AP non-toxic certification by the Art & Creative Materials Institute, Inc. and in compliance to the ASTM D-4236 labeling regulations.

According to the material data sheet, "consult a physician if eye or skin irritation should persist after irrigating area with water". Balitono painting kits are recommended for ages 6 & up, some of the kits contain small parts, which are considered choking hazards for children 3 & younger. The majority of the wood sculptures used in the painting kits are handcarved or handcrafted from plantation wood with the latin name of albasia valcataria. They are hand-sanded and kiln-dried, ready for your painting.
