We have received numerous letters from parents who let us know how much their children (and they themselves) enjoyed painting Works of Ahhh® and Paint the Wild® wooden kits. Receiving such letters (and photos) from you is one of our greatest rewards in running this family-owned business. In 1989, our goal, as then and now, has been to bring the art of woodcarving from a carver to the creative hands of a child or child-at-heart. We also found that children are naturally attracted to a 3-dimensional "canvas" and what could be more natural than wood?

From one artist to another...
Each Works of Ahhh® and Paint the Wild® kit has one or more solid wood sculptures wonderfully handcrafted from sustainable plantation wood. Each is hand-sanded and kiln-dried, ready for painting. Within the handsomely packaged kit, you will receive U.S.-made, high quality and non-toxic acrylic paints, paintbrush, educational pamphlet and specific accessories for your project.

There's no mistake in art...
Our kits are not paint-by-numbers, there's no "right or wrong way" of painting the wood sculptures, although we provide colorful examples on the boxes and painting guides, the process should be free-form and imaginative. On the other hand, the acrylic paints dry quickly and can be covered by another color or pattern should the artist changes his/her mind.

Our kits also encourage sharing and learning about art and nature. They have been extensively tested with children and most have received the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Best Toy and Parents' Choice awards. Several kits were featured in national magazines as well as NBC's Today Show and Lifetime TV as their top picks.

We believe that in addition to the quality of the creative process, the painted art should be usable or playable and will remain a cherished keepsake for years to come.
